Registration is Open!

The Video-In-Person (VIP) Group Video Class is Now Accepting Registrations for class sessions beginning May 2, 2017.

Course Summary

At each week’s live video class session, you will give a short presentation to the group based on specific objectives as described in the class manual. You will receive immediate feedback as to what you did well and areas to improve. Then, you will be assigned specific tasks and objectives for your next presentation the following week for 3 months.

How is This Different?

Where other “live video courses” tell you what to do and show you what to do….this is a LIVE and virtual in-person class you will attend where you will actually DO the tasks as they are assigned week after week.

What Skills Will You Learn?

There are 10 primary curriculum skills you will learn (and practice LIVE several times) by the end of this 12-week class:

  • Using the technology you already have to do all the video you need.
  • Getting comfortable presenting on video, webinar, phone, laptop or in-person video
  • Presenting your business to inspire your listeners rather than sounding “salesy”
  • Building a library of YouTube videos that bring traffic to your website
  • Adapting all of your current live presentation skills to speaking on video (There are dramatic differences!)
  • Experiencing what makes interesting and engaging live video and applying those techniques to your own projects.
  • Experimenting with your ideas. If you’re going to screw up, THIS is the place to do it and not when it really counts out in the real world!
  • Evolving into using live video tools as a normal course of business instead of a one-time experience, including Facebook Live and Periscope to Twitter.
  • Mastering webinar presentation styles so that you can conduct your own webinars or serve as a worthy guest presenter.
  • Receiving support, encouragement and critique from others.
  • Supporting other group members in their growth and efforts.

What’s Different About VIP Practice Club?

Live video “how-to” products and membership sites are popping up by the dozens. The most important thing to know about this 3-month course that is truly different than all the rest is that it is LIVE with actual people attending for every weekly class session. This is NOT a bunch of recorded videos to watch and then you’re left on your own to practice what you’ve learned.

YOU, as well as other participants, are creating the videos!

VIP Practice Club is a “class” you attend, but without your having to drive anywhere to be in an actual classroom setting.

How is the Course Conducted?

Each weekly class has a series of steps unto itself. Upon completed registration, your instructor and course guide, Marty Dickinson, will call you on the phone to discuss your business and video presentation goals. Then, each week for the next 12 class sessions will look like this:

  • You will get access to the first objective in the written curriculum manual, which is stored inside the Here Next Year members area. Assignment #1 is a simple one designed to get you used to the basic technology used during the class and to demonstrate to the group the starting point of your skills as a video-based presenter.
  • You will have full access to your instructor throughout the next week to answer any questions about your upcoming presentation via Skype, phone or email.
  • On your scheduled session day and time, you will connect through a web-based meeting link either by computer or phone. Connecting five to ten minutes before start time is requested.
  • Your instructor will lead the meeting and have each attendee present his or her prepared objective. Most objectives are 5 minutes in length.
  • The instructor will provide a formal evaluation of your presentation including a list of several things you did well and a few challenges to work on for the next session.
  • Classmates will supply an open critique for your presentation for 1-2 minutes.
  • Instructor will add essential critique that was not brought up by classmates.
  • You will provide comments during open critique of others’ presentations.
  • Recording of each session is provided in the Here Next Year members area so that you can watch your own presentation later.
  • Instructor will provide you with access for the next week’s curriculum objective.

What is the Instructor’s Experience with Public Speaking?

Marty Dickinson joined his first two Toastmasters clubs in 1995 to overcome his own fear of public speaking. Not only did he quickly accomplish that goal, but he went on to become an Area Director and then Division Director where he helped start five Toastmasters clubs and mentor dozens of new speakers.

In 2004, Marty began offering live workshops to build his Here Next Year web marketing services business. He presented his methods for live audiences through Constant Contact, AuthorU, Colorado Independent Publishers Association (CIPA), National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), and spoke at National Speakers Association National Convention.

What is the Instructor’s Experience with Live Video?

By summer of 2016, Marty had served as a guest presenter for various webinars and as Master of Ceremonies (MC) for several web-based events. Technical glitches almost always occurred, leaving him less than inspired to conduct or be a part of future web-based events.

Marty had good success with recording software demos and training videos, but was never happy with how he looked on screen or the content he delivered in a live virtual setting.

Faced with the thought of projecting LIVE video to an audience measuring only his baldness, instead of the value of what he was presenting, and his past history with technical issues, Marty avoided live video as long as he could.

By September, Facebook Live and Periscope feeding into Twitter were in full swing. Marty saw the need was now for HIM to overcome his reluctance to embrace live video.

So, he started a weekly, web-based, live meeting in September to force himself (and participants) to speak on camera at least once per week.

From late September through mid January 2017, about 20 participants joined the weekly sessions and presented various topics related to their business while learning specific skills related to live video.

Each participant was scheduled in advance to present various topics using a variety of speaking objectives that Marty created as a trial curriculum.

As a result, the curriculum was completed and tweaked to roll out to new class participants.

Today, our Video in Practice (VIP) Club is a laser focused program to get you skilled in presenting in a variety of video situations.

Get Comfortable and EXCITED About Live Video!

Our goal by the end of the training is that you will not only be skilled at presenting through a camera lens, but be comfortable with the technology, confident in your delivery, and even excited to create more video to promote your business!

What About Absences?

Schedule your entire week around this meeting! It could be the most important investment in yourself you’ve EVER done to help start or expand your business. Plan to attend every session and you might miss one or two. Everyone gets sick or has a travel date they must keep.

Remember too that the VIP Practice Club is “web-based.” You can attend from wherever you are, by computer or phone, provided there is an Internet connection.

With all that said, we understand how life tends to dish out schedule conflicts. We have scheduled two makeup weeks for missed presentations.

What is the TRUE (Realistic) Value of Attending these 12-Weeks of Live Video Training?

If you were to hire Marty for 12 90-minute training sessions (18 hours), coaching help between sessions, and the fact that no one has created a curriculum yet to work through and provide a supportive weekly setting for the class, the direct cost to cost could easily be over $5,000.

What Bonuses Will You Get and What are the Values?

Image of Video in Practice Bonus #1: Get video recording of each session.

Each of your video presentations will be recorded in the meeting room’s cloud account. Presenters before and after you will be edited out so that individual videos can be provided to them as well. From there, you can download your own video and upload it your own YouTube account for use in your promotions.

Each video will require 30-60 minutes to download, edit, render, and upload for your use. For 10 presentations, valuing this service at only $500 is generous.

Image of Video in Practice Bonus #2: Group critique of your video presentations.

Some of the best suggestions will come from other participants as they observe your presentations. One of our participants suggested to a presenter that he should add sunglasses to the top of his laptop when speaking on video so that he would look more directly at the camera eye.

Comments like these are used by everyone in the group even when they are suggested to one person. With up to 10 participants providing feedback to you and other partipants, every week for 10 weeks, you can see why this bonus can easily be worth far more than just $500.

But, we will keep that price to stay realistic.

Image of Video in Practice Bonus #3: Observe and video presentation techniques of others.

Watch all the presenters in your group as they progress through the curriculum manual. Learn from their speaking techniques, PowerPoint slides, and presentation styles.

Yes, you can learn by watching. That opportunity to watch up to nine additional presentations every week will enrich your knowledge of diverse speaking styles. That’s 45 straight minutes of top quality education every week for 12 weeks.

Image of Video in Practice Bonus #4: Get business referrals.

As early as the first session, the networking component of the group begins to make dollars for you as you improve presenting your business as a way that even the group participants become interested in what you offer.

When you meet every week to practice presentation skills and support others in their pursuit of better video practice skills, the group becomes part of your business family. Family loves to refer people to family!

NOTE: Just one referral from the right person to the correct recipient can often pay for the entire training free for this class.

Image of Video in Practice Bonus #5: Increase social media followers.

One of the first steps all participants are asked to do is connect with others in the group with the social media of their choice. Just by sharing each other’s videos, new leads and sales can emerge very quickly.

Image of Video in Practice Bonus #6: Guest speaking appearances.

Your bonus also includes a LIFETIME subscription to the Here Next Year Visibility SELLS! Club to provide you with up-to-date instruction for various pieces of the web marketing, book authoring, and speaking process.

That’s a TOTAL, for both direct and indirect value, of $8,500. But, don’t worry, we’re not going to charge you that much.
