Happy New Year’s Eve EVE!
Well, here you are once again.
At the end of one year and starting a new one.
Was your business a success in 2016?
Did you strike a vein of gold in your claim?
Or, did you just get lured by some fool’s gold and are thinking of calling it quits and shutting your doors forever?
Many of the readers and clients in my Here Next Year network have been with me for more than ten years.
I’ve watched their sales go up, down and all around.

And, no one EVER talks about it.

The answer is hidden deeply within something you experience every January with the start of a new year.
Yep, I’m talking about New Year’s resolutions.
Resolutions fail for the same exact reason so many businesses fail.
New Year’s resolutions are what I call Fool’s Wants.
Just like fools gold.
When you add meaningless Fool’s Wants to your business and life goals list,
like “increase sales,” or “get more leads,” or “take more vacations,” or “spend more time with family,” or “quit smoking,” you’re going to wind up broke and broken, even though you’re working harder than ever before.
Just like a miner getting all excited over finding fool’s gold.
Successful business owners, authors, speakers, coaches, consultants, and trainers know the difference between Fool’s Wants and True Wants.
This step is so important that I’ve devoted about 1/3 of my new book to helping readers figure out exactly what they want in their business and in life.
The two (business and life) are very much connected.
Knowing what you want is a good start. But, there’s more to accomplishing True Wants than just knowing what your wants are.
Some people Get what they Want. Others just dream about it, get discouraged when it doesn’t happen right away, and eventually give up on dreaming too.
That’s when I started thinking about LIONS.
Yes, wild lions.
Lions ALWAYS get what they want. They are continuous winners! They NEVER give up. They can’t afford to. If they give up on chasing dinner, they’ll eventually starve to death.
My new book embraces the ways of the Lion to help you get what you want.
In fact, I’ve even made it part of my title, which is:
Lions Always Win: How to Spot What You Want in Business and Life…and Get it Too!
Lions Always Win is a 100-page workbook that walks you through a sequence of steps to identify your True Wants in every aspect of your life and then helps you prioritize them in an unique way I’ve never seen before.
In fact, the closest thing I’ve seen to this prioritizing method started with my most popular whitepaper, 101 Realistic Website Traffic Methods, that I’ve been updating every quarter for the past ten years.
I figured, if it works so well for business owners to create their two-year traffic building plan, why not try it for prioritizing True Wants?
One unique component of this book is that I devote 35 pages to the Internet marketing process and observations between people who do well using the Internet to generate more leads and sales for their businesses and those who bring in less than $50,000 a year from their online efforts.
I call them Blazers and Strugglers.
There is a direct relation between Strugglers and those who strive for Fool’s Wants. Yet, I know plenty of Blazer Internet millionaires that could be sooo much successful if they only applied the Lions Always Win process.
I begged my editors at Wiley Publishing to let me add this piece to my Web Marketing All-in-One for Dummies book, but they just didn’t see that it was compatible with the “for Dummies” format (software screenshots).
Although disappointed at the time, everything happens for a reason. So, I can understand that now is the correct time and vehicle to deliver this essential content.
The final section I have to just keep under wraps for now. It’s the one thing lions cannot do to assure their Wants turn into Gets.
Lions are fortunate in that regard. They don’t NEED the last section of my book.
We humans do!
Humans can do this one extra step and it makes all the difference.
I am my own testimonial
I’ve been working on this book for 20 years, even though it only took three days to write a few weeks ago. On Christmas Eve Eve, I announced to my subscribers and clients that the book was complete and I’d be launching it the next day.
Christmas came and went and I could see the days slipping by…no launch.
So, two days ago, I printed out the entire book and went to a coffee shop. I spent four hours straight going through my own exercises in Lions Always Win with a pen in one hand and my phone (so I could access some tools inside the Here Next Year Web Marketing Club area) in the other.
Today, just TWO days later, I am launching the book. All the pieces are in place. It’s already selling through my shopping cart and I only added it to my website last night.
What’s the difference?
Why would I have gone on for another week or two…or maybe even a month before launching this book?
The secret sauce is one final exercise in the last portion of the book.
It’s the difference between simply creating goals and ACHIEVING goals.
I don’t say that to be so secretive. It just wouldn’t make sense if I just blurted out here what that final exercise is. It didn’t even make sense to ME until about two years ago when I tried it for the first time.
Ever since then, I’ve been using this exercise to Get what I Want. And, it works pretty much every time I’ve applied it.

I’ve chosen not to add this book to the list of 9 books I’ve sold through Amazon/Kindle because Lions Always Win is more than a book. It’s a WORKBOOK. You and I really should be in a classroom setting for a day as you go through these exercises. But, that’s just not possible right now for you or me.
SPEED of you getting working on these exercises is the absolute critical factor. Still, I want to be available to answer questions, brainstorm with you, and serve as your accountability partner to make sure you get it done!

So, that’s a long story to get to my reasoning for why I’m keeping the sales process through my own company for now instead of Amazon.
