Alright, well, the pic is a little silly. But, I think it’s healthy to be a bit silly sometimes with live video. If I am to hope to inspire others to get started with live video, then it would only be honest of me to post imperfections as well as more polished work.
Plus, this picture goes to show how much fun we had in my Getting Over Your Fear of Live Video breakout session at the Toastmasters D26 Fall 2017 conference.
First, I gave an overview of the why’s and the how’s of live video and introduced everyone to my mascot, “Action.” Then, I had everyone rehearse what we went over as a live video presentation framework. Here’s a snippet.
The Best Part was DOING Live Videos!
I really wanted to do something different than what I see every day in the live video “buy my $50 product” world. So, instead of just talking about live video, I gave audience members a reason and an opportunity to promote their businesses on live video.
The audience was asked to show their support for the participants by cheering throughout the entire live video.
Being supportive Toastmasters, they complied of course, which provided a comfortable and energetic environment for the audience to learn.
We Only Had 50 Minutes
I’m looking forward to inspiring more people get started with live video at conferences and other learning venues. But, you don’t have to wait until I appear on a live stage! You can join one of my Live for Five groups today!
