That’s a $200+ value for the one low price of just $97 (No Charge for UPS Regular Shipping within US).

From the co-author, Marty Dickinson, “When I was asked to be a co-author, the Wiley group asked what I wanted to write about that would help people with their Internet marketing. My response wasn’t what they were expecting. When they heard my list, their reply was that no one seemed to write about those topics in other Internet marketing books they had seen. And, they thought, those pieces were so important, that my part should be featured in the first section of the book! Nice!”

And, if you think just because the date on the book is 2009 that the content must be outdated, checkout this testimonial from Carol that just came in…last week…over facebook:

“Hi Marty…Just wanted to say that – while nursing a cold on Friday – I started reading Web Marketing – All in one. What a pleasure! It took me all day (seriously) to get up to page 96! Every time you mentioned a service on the web, I just had to crawl off the couch and go see! I’ve been “doing” web since it started, and I learned more in one day than in all of those years! Thank you so much! Love the writing, love the info… Can’t wait to find out what I don’t know about email, social media and blogging!!! Thanks so much!”

<g:plusone href="http://herenextyear.com/pay-per-click-is-real-money.php"></g:plusone>

I made a recent last minute decision to show up at an all-day Google boot camp. There were four speakers but the one that inspired me to get out of bed early on a weekend was Chris Sherman (Senior Editor of SearchEngineWatch.com).

Today, I’d like to share with you 3 things that you might not have known about how pay per click advertising on Google is real money. I had to pay $200 in real money, so you’re getting some good stuff for free here.

And you didn’t even need to get out of bed early on a Saturday.

Pay Per Click Real Money Fact #1: 72% Of All Searchers Click On . . .

Statistics were revealed at the boot camp that most people don’t even know if they’re clicking on a “pay per click” ad in Google or a “natural” search result. But, the facts are that more than 70% of all searchers click on the natural results.

Why is this important to you?

It goes to show that spending time and focus on getting EVERY individual page of your website optimized to appear on the top of Google’s natural (organic) search results is still relevant.

Pay Per Click Real Money Fact #2: Get 3 X the Response with . . .

Once you get favorable positioning in the free search results for one of your webpages, begin investing in a pay per click ad for that keyword phrase also. That way when someone searches for those specific keyword phrases you’ve optimized for, your results will appear twice; one for organic search, the other for pay per click.

This strategy will do two things. First, you’ll own more real estate (a higher percentage of the screen) within the search results. Second, you’ll have more credibility among searchers.

The result will be that three times more people will click on one of links to your page.

Pay Per Click Real Money Fact #3: Most Big Companies Haven’t Discovered . . .

The big companies are too busy spending their big advertising budgets on Super Bowl ads. They are still so held captive to traditional advertising methods that they just have not taken the plunge into pay-per-click advertising yet.

This is important to the owner of a small or medium sized business because it’s only a matter of time until the big guys realize what they’ve been missing out on. There will be a day soon where these large companies with their large budgets will allocate just a tiny piece of that giant budget to buy a zillion keyword phrases and we’ll have to pay a small fortune to have any cost-per-click ad of any value.

If you’ve been thinking of getting invovled with some pay-per-click advertising on Google and wondering if your investment will bring real money your way, do it sooner than later, or you will be finding yourself paying several more times per click to get any real result.

So, why do I bring up this topic today?

Because in talking with clients, friends in the industry and just people I’m meeting at various events lately, I get the feeling that website owners are sort of burned out over battling for top positions in search engines.

And, I don’t want you to be one of them!

Google alone is not the only way to get traffic to your site as I’ve written about extensively in my free whitepaper at 101TrafficMethods.com, but pay per click is an extremely important stream of traffic for just about every website type out there.

Remember, search engine positioning is not a one-time thing. It’s more like the game of golf. “There’s always room for improvement…

…and the course changes every day.”

The three facts I gave to you here are just the beginning of what I took home with me from that recent Saturday and I’d like to give you more.

This week, I’ve written a summarized version of what was covered at the Google boot camp and I’ve already added it to the Level 2 members-only area of the HereNextYear site. It alone is worth a month or two of the $47/month members fee.

Most of the content was completely state-of- the-art. To be honest, a little of it was old-school, and there were a few current subjects that, to my surprise, were not covered at all. But, that’s what I’m here for is to help decipher which is which and to fill in the missing gaps.

The moral of the story: Try not get burned out over search engines. They’re here to stay as one of our most important promotional vehicles. And, that’s the most important fact of all. Pay per click is definitely real money, as long as you’re willing to be patient with yourself and learn the right way to use this important weapon, I mean, “tool.”
